Job summary

Our client, a fast-growing Healthcare Group based in Dublin 18, seeks a Group Financial Controller to support the CFO with the next phase of expansion. The role involves leading a small team, preparing monthly management accounts and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to drive growth and manage risk.

Qualifications

• Must be a professionally trained Qualified Accountant.
• Minimum 5 years PQE in finance.
• Healthcare experience beneficial but not required.
• Hands-on with strategic input and commercial focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small finance team.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, payroll and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Act as liaison with auditors and drive process improvements.

Position Description

Outstanding opportunity for an ambitious finance executive to join the finance team of a fast-growing Healthcare Group, as it embarks on an aggressive market expansion strategy.The business is well geared up for growth and development and the Group Financial Controller will play a lead role in supporting the CFO to support the next phase of growth. Role will involve:

• Leading and developing a small team
• Monthly management accounts and annual preparation
• Tax compliance, statutory reporting, payroll ad BS recs
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Financial Modelling, developing plans for growth and managing risk
• Acting as key point of contact with the auditors
• Delivering new process improvements to allow for more automation
• Finance lead on new projects
• Ad-hoc project work will be broad, varied and ongoing as company expands, eg. M&A, greenfield site development, and further systems development

Hybrid work model – 3 days office, 2 home.

Candidate Background

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

• A first-rate professionally trained Qualified Accountant with high-energy levels and the ability to thrive in a high growth environment
• Excellent academic track record and a minimum of 5 years’ PQE
• Healthcare experience beneficial not a requirement
• Comfortable being hands-on, yet able to contribute at a strategic level
• Commercial savvy with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
