Job summary

Sysco Ireland is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join the Finance Leadership Team, reporting to the CFO. You will provide strategic leadership across financial control, reporting, governance, taxation, audit, and finance transformation.

This role will drive transformation, embed best practices, and build a future-ready finance function, partnering with operational and commercial leaders to support performance and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with significant post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership.
• Proven experience leading financial control, reporting and compliance in a large organisation.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and understanding of SOX controls and risk management.
• Extensive experience managing internal and external audit programmes.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial control framework across all Ireland entities.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes with accuracy.
• Deliver timely group reporting and insightful financial analysis.
• Manage statutory accounts, tax, VAT and regulatory obligations.
• Lead a large finance team and develop talent through coaching and succession planning.
• Partner with the CFO and executives to support strategic decisions and investments.
• Drive finance transformation and system improvements, including Dynamics 365.
• Maintain robust internal controls, governance and SOX compliance.
