The Semiconductor Giant in Cork (On-site) is seeking a Graphics Software Engineer to join the GPU Software team. You will contribute to building next‑generation developer tools for graphics, ray tracing, and image processing, collaborating with hardware and software engineers in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on profiling, debugging, and performance analysis across full‑stack development, with exposure to future hardware design and developer ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming knowledge in C/C++, or proficiency in C#, Rust, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of GPU hardware and graphics concepts.
  • Experience with graphics APIs such as Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, or WebGL.
  • Hands-on development in Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar game engines.
  • Experience with GPU computing: OpenCL, CUDA, or SYCL.
  • Familiarity with ray tracing, mesh shading, or work graphs.
  • Experience debugging, profiling, and tuning real-time graphics or compute apps.
  • Knowledge of image/video processing, data parallelism, or ML algorithms.
  • Experience with profilers/debuggers like Nsight, PIX, GPA, RenderDoc.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop profiling, debugging, and performance analysis tools features.
  • Collaborate with GPU hardware and software teams on performance validation and analysis.
  • Debug complex issues, optimise the user experience, and work with ecosystem, partners, and OEMs.
  • Engage in full-stack development from UI to low-level graphics driver instrumentation.

Graphics Software Engineer – Tool Development | Cork (On-site)

A world-renowned Semiconductor Giant is looking for a talented Graphics Software Developer (Tools Engineer) to join their GPU Software team in Cork, Ireland. This team is responsible for building next-generation GPU Developer Tools that enable cutting‑edge graphics, games, ray tracing, machine learning, and advanced image processing. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape how developers optimise for industry‑leading mobile and edge GPU architectures while gaining deep insights into future hardware design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop profiling, debugging, and performance analysis tools features.
  • Collaborate closely with GPU hardware and software teams on performance validation and analysis.
  • Debug complex issues, optimise the user experience, and work directly with the developer ecosystem, partners, and OEMs.
  • Engage in full‑stack development ranging from user interfaces to low‑level graphics driver instrumentation.
  • Shape how developers optimise for the GPU, gaining early insight into next‑generation hardware design.

Required Qualifications (Two or more of the following):

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming knowledge in C/C++, or demonstrated proficiency in tools/application development with C#, Rust, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of GPU hardware and core graphics concepts.

Preferred Experience (Any of the following are a plus):

  • Developing graphics applications using Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, or WebGL.
  • Hands‑on development within Unity, Unreal Engine, or comparable game engines.
  • Developing GPU computing applications utilizing OpenCL, CUDA, or SYCL.
  • Experience debugging, profiling, and tuning real‑time graphics or compute applications.
  • Familiarity with recent graphics trends such as ray tracing, mesh shading, or work graphs.
  • Knowledge of image/video processing, data parallelism, or machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with standard graphics profilers and debuggers like Nsight, PIX, GPA, or RenderDoc.
