Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a talented GPU Modelling Engineer for a multinational semiconductor company in Cork, Ireland. You will work with architects, designers, driver and compiler teams to deliver bitwise accurate C-Model based simulations of new architectures.

The role requires strong C++ programming, knowledge of graphics pipelines such as DirectX/OpenGL/OpenCL/Vulkan, and experience in modelling, testing and validating GPU compute systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and graphics pipelines.
  • Intermediate or higher C++ coding, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in modelling using C++.
  • Knowledge of graphics/ray-tracing/compute pipelines (DirectX, OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan).
  • Ability to write clean, professional and maintainable C++ code.
  • Scripting languages like Perl and Python.
  • 3D graphics, GPU compute, driver development or compiler experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with architects, designers, driver, and compiler teams to accomplish tasks.
  • Develop bitwise accurate functional models (C-Model) using C/C++ to simulate new architectures and solutions.
  • Develop solid test suites and perform functional verification & validation with the C-Model and RTL simulation.
  • Perform conformance tests, stress & random tests and stabilize GPUs & Compute systems.
