Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Dundrum, Ireland invites graduates for a Graduate Structural Engineer role. You will work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams across feasibility to construction phases, gaining exposure to BIM tools and sustainable design.

We offer a three-year Accelerating your Future program with mentorship, training, and structured development. The role supports hybrid working and client interactions while contributing to diverse projects in buildings and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or expected degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (no earlier than 2025)
• Demonstrated interest in structural engineering and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work across feasibility to detailed design stages
• Experience or exposure to BIM/digital engineering is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of structural solutions for buildings and infrastructure
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications
• Develop conceptual options and feasibility studies
• Undertake detailed design using concrete, steel, and other materials
• Collaborate with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams
• Support site visits, inspections, and construction activities
• Contribute to sustainable design, carbon reduction and resilience assessments
• Use BIM tools to support delivery
• Assist with project planning and client interactions
