Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Ireland is seeking enthusiastic Graduate Civil & Structural Engineers to join our Energy team. You will work with experienced professionals on projects supporting Ireland’s energy transition and critical infrastructure, developing technical judgement and collaborative skills.

You will contribute to feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed design, collaborate with specialists, and participate in site visits, with mentoring under Accelerating Your Future three-year programme.

Qualifications

  • Less than 12 months' relevant experience (excluding placements).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering obtained no earlier than 2025 or expected to achieve one.
  • Interest in energy projects and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to feasibility studies, optioneering, FEED and detailed design.
  • Designing civil works for substations and grid infrastructure, including site platforms, earthworks, embankments, retaining walls, access roads and drainage systems.
  • Supporting structural design for reinforced concrete and steelwork, including foundations, beams, columns, equipment supports and connections.
  • Using digital design and analysis tools to develop calculations, models, drawings and technical reports.
  • Working with electrical, geotechnical, environmental and other specialists to develop safe, practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Taking part in site visits, surveys and construction-stage support to understand site conditions and help resolve engineering challenges.
