Job summary

Mott MacDonald is offering a graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer position in Ireland. You will design mechanical systems for safe, efficient, and sustainable buildings, working with multidisciplinary teams on projects from healthcare to education and transport hubs.

You’ll gain exposure to all project stages, from concept to operation, with a structured early-career programme and mentor support to grow technically and professionally.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: <12 months relevant experience (excl. placements).
• Minimum of a level 7 bachelor’s degree (obtained no earlier than 2025) or expected in the listed disciplines.
• Disciplines include Mechanical Eng, Building Services Eng, Architectural Eng, Energy Eng, Sustainable Building Design, Building Environment Eng, or closely related.

Responsibilities

• Support design and specification of mechanical building services systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic water, public health).
• Assist with calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Contribute to sustainability and decarbonisation strategies to help clients reach net-zero targets.
• Use industry-standard software and digital engineering tools to develop designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, structural, civil, architectural, and sustainability specialists.
