Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is offering a Graduate Civil or Structural Engineer role in Ireland. You’ll join a structured development programme, gain real responsibility from day one and work on challenging construction and infrastructure projects onsite.

You will grow technically, build professional confidence and pursue chartership while supported by a dedicated Early Careers Team and mentors.

  • Be studying towards, or have recently completed, a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Be due to graduate in Summer 2027 or have recently graduated.
  • Have a genuine interest in the construction and engineering industry.

  • Be eager to learn, broaden your experience and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning, design, coordination and delivery of engineering solutions.

About The Role

As a Graduate Civil or Structural Engineer, you will play an important role in delivering some of Ireland's most complex and innovative construction and infrastructure projects.

This is an onsite role, providing the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you will contribute to the planning, design, coordination and delivery of engineering solutions that help shape the built environment.

You will gain practical experience in areas such as site engineering, technical problem solving, surveying, quality assurance, project coordination and construction methodologies, while building a strong understanding of engineering principles and industry best practice.

This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your technical expertise, build professional confidence and gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle.

Supported by experienced colleagues and our dedicated Early Careers Team, you will take on real responsibility from day one while building the knowledge, skills and experience needed for a successful career in engineering.

To Be Considered For This Programme, You Will
  • Be studying towards, or have recently completed, a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering at an Irish third-level institution or university.
  • Be due to graduate in Summer 2027 or have recently graduated.
  • Have a genuine interest in the construction and engineering industry.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be eager to learn, broaden your experience and take on responsibility.
  • Have strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be committed to delivering work safely, professionally and to a high standard.
  • Have a desire to work towards professional accreditation and chartership.

Travel Requirements

Due to the nature of some of our projects, you may be required to travel to project locations across Ireland or occasionally stay away from home.

Driving licence requirement

Due to the location of our sites and the need for travel as part of this role, a full Irish driving licence may be required.
