Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is offering a Graduate Quantity Surveyor role in Ireland. You will join a structured development programme, work with experienced teams and gain exposure to commercial aspects from day one.

You will develop your technical knowledge, professional skills and chartership credentials while contributing to major construction and infrastructure projects. Start date Summer 2027 and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

  • Be studying towards, or have recently completed, a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying at an Irish third-level institution or university.
  • Be due to graduate in Summer 2027 or have recently graduated.
  • Have a genuine interest in the construction industry and commercial management.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be eager to learn, broaden your experience and take on responsibility.
  • Have strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be committed to delivering work professionally and to a high standard.
  • Have a desire to work towards professional accreditation and chartership.

Responsibilities

  • As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, contribute to the commercial delivery of major projects.
  • Work alongside commercial teams, project managers and site teams to gain practical experience across project stages.
  • Develop skills in cost planning, procurement, subcontractor management, valuations and cost reporting.
  • Build understanding of contract administration and commercial management.
  • Gain exposure to landmark projects across sectors and develop professional chartership.

About The Role

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of some of Ireland's most exciting construction and infrastructure projects.

This is a onsite role, providing the opportunity to work alongside commercial teams, project managers, site teams and subcontractors, you will gain experience across all stages of the project lifecycle, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and provide the best possible value.

You will gain practical experience in areas such as cost planning, procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, cost reporting, contract administration and commercial management, while building a strong understanding of construction processes and industry best practice.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your commercial awareness, strengthen your technical expertise and gain exposure to landmark projects across a variety of sectors.

Supported by experienced colleagues and our dedicated Early Careers Team, you will take on real responsibility from day one while building the knowledge, skills and experience needed for a successful career in quantity surveying

Travel Requirements
