Job summary

Timoney is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our design team working on next generation off-road hybrid electric vehicles. You will contribute to propulsion, power distribution, and control system concepts.

You will analyse vehicle performance in MATLAB and Simulink, select components such as inverters, motors, batteries, and help electrify traditional driveline systems. The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, experience with MATLAB/Simulink or C/C++, and

Qualifications

A degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or C/C++ is preferred.
Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Visio.
Interest in vehicle product development and hybrid systems.

Responsibilities

Analyse vehicle performance in MATLAB, Simulink, Adams (or equivalent) and calibrate control parameters.
Determine propulsion and power distribution requirements and select components (inverters, motors, batteries).
Electrify mechanical driveline systems including axles, steering and suspension.
Design high and low-voltage circuits using 3D or schematic modelling software.
Design wiring harnesses for hybrid driveline systems.
Select electrical components and ensure installation meets standards and customer requirements.
Work on vehicle CAN and hardware signalling networks.
Perform other tasks as designated by the manager.
