Timoney Dynamic Solutions Limited, based in Navan, is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the design teams on sensor-driven, hybrid electric vehicle projects. You will collaborate on propulsion, power distribution, and driveline electrification for next-generation off-road hybrids.

Responsibilities include circuit design, wiring harness development, CAN networking, and coordinating with manufacturing and quality teams.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing software with MATLAB, Simulink, or C/C++.
  • Experience with CAD systems such as SolidWorks or Visio.
  • Strong design and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Finance.

Our recent acquisition by Kessler + Co, brings enhanced manufacturing capabilities to complement our extensive experience and vehicle knowledge.

Due to continued expansion, including exciting electrical and hybrid technology projects, Timoney is now looking hire an Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team designing next generation off road hybrid electric vehicles.

The Role

Timoney is seeking an Graduate Electrical Engineer to work as part of our design teams on internal and client projects. We develop all aspects of vehicle suspension, driveline, and powertrain systems. Timoney operates hybrid working policy.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist the design team to:

  • Analyse vehicle performance in MATLAB, Simulink, Adams (or equivalent) and calibrate vehicle control parameters.
  • Determine vehicle propulsion and power distribution requirements and select appropriate components including inverters, motors, power converters, batteries and engines.
  • Electrify traditionally mechanical driveline systems including axles, steering and suspension systems.
  • Design high and low-voltage circuits based on customer specifications using 3D or schematic modelling software.
  • Design wiring harnesses for conventional and hybrid axle and driveline systems.
  • Select electrical components and ensure that their installation and operation conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Work on vehicle communication networks including CAN and hardware signalling.
  • Other tasks as designated by your manager.
The Person
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or significant, directly relevant experience) is required.
  • Experience in developing software through MATLAB, Simulink or C, C++
  • Experience using one or more of the major CAD systems (SolidWorks, Visio).
  • Strong design and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who will also be able to operate in a team environment.
  • An interest in vehicles and product development.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Finance.
