Job summary

Timoney is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our design teams in Navan. You will work on hybrid electric vehicle projects, developing driveline, powertrain, and vehicle systems with a focus on electrification and performance optimization.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent) and hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink or C/C++, plus CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Visio. Hybrid working policy supported.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or C/C++.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Visio.
• Strong design and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyse vehicle performance and calibrate control parameters using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Determine propulsion and power distribution requirements and select components.
• Electrify mechanical driveline systems including axles, steering and suspension.
• Design high/low-voltage circuits using 3D or schematic modelling software.
• Design wiring harnesses for hybrid driveline systems.
• Select electrical components and ensure conformance to standards.
• Work on vehicle communication networks (CAN) and signaling.
