Job summary

Mott MacDonald Ireland is offering a 2027 Ireland Graduate Electrical Engineering Career Path in Energy. The role focuses on design, analysis, and assessment of medium- and high-voltage substations for power generation and renewables in Ireland and beyond.

As a graduate, you will work with experienced engineers to build strong technical foundations, participate in Accelerating your Future mentorship, and benefit from a hybrid working policy and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Masters degree obtained no earlier than 2025 or expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of primary plant systems and HV substations.
• Prepare and review HV plant specifications and related equipment.
• Provide electrical input throughout project lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning.
• Assist with calculations, drawings, and reports for safe, reliable substation design.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs and multidisciplinary teams across departments.
• Contribute to projects involving energy storage, HVDC, smart-grid tech.
• Understand engineering standards, client requirements, safety and quality processes.
