Mott MacDonald Ireland is recruiting graduates for Civil & Structural Engineering within the Energy team. You’ll work on projects supporting Ireland’s energy transition and infrastructure, developing technical judgment and collaboration skills from day one.

You’ll contribute to feasibility, FEED, and detailed design, while gaining experience in design of substations, grid infrastructure, and reinforced concrete/steel structures. A hybrid working model supports flexibility.

We’re looking for enthusiastic Graduate Civil & Structural Engineers to join our Energy team in Ireland. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support Ireland’s energy transition and strengthen critical infrastructure, while developing the technical judgement, digital capability and collaborative skills needed for a rewarding career.

Within our Transmission and Distrubution team you’ll help design and deliver the infrastructure that enables renewable generation to connect to Ireland’s electricity network and supports a secure, reliable energy system. Depending on the project stage, your work may include:

• Contributing to feasibility studies, optioneering, FEED and detailed design.

• Designing civil works for substations and grid infrastructure, including site platforms, earthworks, embankments, retaining walls, access roads and drainage systems.

• Supporting structural design for reinforced concrete and steelwork, including foundations, beams, columns, equipment supports and connections.

• Using digital design and analysis tools to develop calculations, models, drawings and technical reports.

• Working with electrical, geotechnical, environmental and other specialists to develop safe, practical and sustainable solutions.

• Taking part in site visits, surveys and construction-stage support to understand site conditions and help resolve engineering challenges.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a bachelors degree (obtained no earlier than 2025) or expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:

• Civil Engineering

• Structural Engineering
