Job summary

QBE Insurance is seeking a Reinsurance Claims Specialist to join the Global Re team in Ireland. You will handle a variety of contracts globally, examining and processing premiums and claims in accordance with policy terms, and building a worldwide network with internal and external stakeholders.

The role involves investigating coverage issues, maintaining accurate systems, and delivering timely settlements. Strong experience in reinsurance, data analysis, and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims handling preferably within Reinsurance.
• Proven stakeholder management and customer service focus.
• Experience producing or interpreting claims data, reports, and portfolio insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve claims promptly and accurately, ensuring high-quality service with minimal leakage.
• Reserve promptly and accurately to keep liability clear at all times.
• Ensure base premiums are received and reinstatement premiums calculated correctly before payments.
• Update company systems accurately and timely.
• Respond to settlements and advices within agreed timeframes to maintain service quality.
• Identify and investigate coverage issues.
• Manage own caseload for prompt, effective handling of claims.
• Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Produce regular statistical and analytical reinsurance information for stakeholders.
