Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Category Manager - Performance Chemicals to lead category strategy for the Electrical business globally. The role focuses on cost, resiliency, and supplier relationships, with a hybrid model across Western Europe including Dublin.

You will guide sourcing strategies, manage cross-functional projects, and drive cost reduction and value across multiple facilities in a dynamic, global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 5–7 years in Supply Chain/Operations; 3+ years as Category Manager.
• Experience in chemicals procurement is preferred.
• 3–5 years negotiating in a global environment.
• 5+ years accountability across multiple facilities.
• Professional SCM certs preferred (CPM/CPIM).
• Strong cost analysis, should-cost, benchmarking skills.
• Proven structured problem solving (5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience leading global supplier negotiations and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish procurement strategies to improve cost, resiliency and working capital.
• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives; drive cross-business synergies.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts.
• Ensure compliance with category strategies and agreements.
• Lead category strategy development with market insights and forecasts.
• Advise leaders on optimal sourcing based on market data.
• Present opportunities and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead regional teams toward SCM goals.
• Identify innovative solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Benchmark processes and drive best practices across the supply chain.
