Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Global Category Manager to join our Dublin-based Global Purchasing Organization. This role leads global category strategies, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Commercial teams.

The position focuses on Cost Out, DPO, working capital, supplier diversity spend, and quality improvements while advancing Eaton’s One Supply Chain strategy. Hybrid work options are available in Dublin, Ireland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 10 years in electronics manufacturing, strategic sourcing, or category management.

Responsibilities

• Lead global category and sourcing strategies to improve cost, DPO, working capital, quality and delivery performance.
• Develop enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives to increase leverage and deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts and relationships to maximize value and ensure supply continuity.
• Define category strategies using market intelligence, should-cost analyses, RFQs, e-auctions, and supplier programs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve procurement and transformation objectives with data-driven solutions.
• Drive supplier performance management and annual business reviews with key suppliers.
• Benchmark procurement processes and implement best practices for efficiency and compliance.
• Partner with leaders to ensure uninterrupted supply at the most competitive total cost.
