Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Category Manager - Performance Chemicals to join our Global Purchasing Organization. You will drive category strategy for Performance Chemicals across the Electrical business globally, align with enterprise roadmaps, and manage the supplier base to deliver maximum enterprise value.

The role requires building stakeholder relationships, resolving supply continuity challenges, and leading cross-functional teams in a hybrid, Western Europe located role with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
• Minimum 3+ years as a Category Manager.
• Experience purchasing chemicals is highly preferred.
• Professional Supply Chain certification (e.g., CPM, CPIM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish procurement strategies to achieve key functional metrics like cost, resiliency, and working capital improvements.
• Develop and execute enterprise-wide strategic initiatives to maximize cross-business synergies.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
• Ensure compliance with category strategies and agreements across SCM objectives.
• Lead category strategy development by forecasting trends and evaluating market factors.
• Advise leadership on optimal sourcing strategies based on market intelligence.
• Present procurement opportunities and strategies to senior leadership.
• Lead regional teams to achieve supply chain goals.
• Identify innovative solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Benchmark procurement processes and drive best-practice adoption.
