Lever, Inc. seeks an OpenStack Engineering Manager based in Ireland to lead a distributed team responsible for operating modern private-cloud infrastructure for customers worldwide.

You will blend technical leadership with people management, service delivery, and continuous improvement across OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud technologies. You will coordinate priorities, milestones, service levels, and outcomes with globally distributed teams, while maintaining strong customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology-focused field.
• Proven experience delivering software or managing technical operations teams.
• Demonstrated OpenStack experience.
• Strong software testing and engineering quality practices.
• Experience administering Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian advantageous).
• Technical aptitude for distributed systems and cloud architectures.
• Experience with agile methodologies and structured engineering practices.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel ~20% for events/meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team for day-to-day managed customer environments.
• Improve delivery velocity and quality through effective processes and workflows.
• Monitor team health indicators and drive performance improvements.
• Implement disciplined engineering and operations processes for reliable delivery.
• Represent the team with customers, product engineering, and external teams.
• Maintain focus on priorities, milestones, and customer commitments across environments.
• Ensure deployments meet SLAs and are delivered on time.
