Job summary

KM Lynskey in Dublin seeks a Global Mobility Lead to oversee day-to-day mobility activity across Europe, managing relocations, visas and assignments while ensuring compliance and high employee experience.

You will lead a small mobility team, partner with HR, payroll and business leaders, and drive continuous improvement of mobility processes in a growing, multinational construction company.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Global Mobility, international HR operations, immigration, relocation or related discipline.
  • Proven capability managing end-to-end international mobility cases.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge of work permits, visas and assignment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of mobility services across multiple units.
  • Manage mobility cases (EU and non-EU) including transfers and relocations.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to the Operations Team.
  • Escalate mobility-related queries from employees and managers.
  • Oversee visa, work permit and immigration processes for timeliness and compliance.
  • Partner with external immigration, tax, relocation and legal specialists.
  • Maintain mobility policies, procedures and case standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and governance.
  • Produce reporting and insights to support planning and decisions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll and leaders to deliver mobility programmes.

About the company:

A leading Construction business operating in Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe is seeking a Global Mobility Lead to join their Team in Dublin 11.

This is an opportunity to join a growing international construction organisation operating across multiple jurisdictions in a time of hyper growth. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of European mobility activities, ensuring employees can move seamlessly across borders while balancing compliance, employee experience, and business needs.

This role combines hands-on management of mobility cases with responsibility for leading and developing a small mobility function to support the business. It would suit an experienced Global Mobility Specialist, Senior Mobility Advisor or Mobility Lead looking to take ownership of a critical area within an international business.

The Role:

The Global Mobility team supports the international movement of employees across multiple European countries, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with immigration, tax and employment requirements.

As Global Mobility Lead, you will oversee day-to-day mobility activity, manage complex international assignments and relocations, provide guidance to key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across the function.

You will act as a trusted advisor to HR, Operations, Talent Acquisition and business leaders while ensuring a high-quality experience for employees throughout the mobility lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of mobility services across multiple business units.
  • Manage mobility cases (currently mostly European staff moving countries but increasing non EU) including transfers, relocations, secondments, immigration and repatriation activity.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to the Operations Team.
  • Act as an escalation point for mobility-related queries from employees, managers, HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Oversee visa, work permit and immigration processes, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
  • Partner with external providers including immigration, tax, relocation and legal specialists.
  • Maintain mobility policies, procedures, documentation and case management standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve service delivery and strengthen governance.
  • Produce reporting, insights and recommendations to support workforce planning and business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with international employment, immigration and assignment-related regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll and business leaders to deliver an effective mobility programme.
  • Support wider HR initiatives where global mobility expertise is required.
About You

You will have a strong understanding of global mobility and international employee movement, together with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.

  • Experience within Global Mobility, international HR operations, immigration, relocation or a related discipline.
  • Proven capability managing end-to-end international mobility cases.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or providing oversight to a colleague or junior team member.
  • Strong knowledge of work permits, visas, immigration processes and international assignments.
  • Ability to advocate for the department re new IT, etc.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees, leaders and external providers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self Starter interested in taking ownership of a department within a growing business.
  • Degree qualification in HR, Business, International Relations or a related membership or equivalent HR qualification.
  • Experience within a multinational or internationally focused organisation.
  • Exposure to policy development, process improvement, and mobility programme enhancement.
