Job summary

GILMAC LIMITED, operating Aerly Bird Trans Global in Dublin, seeks an experienced Transport, Distribution and Customs Assistant to join the logistics team. The role focuses on seamless customs processing and distribution administration for Irish and UK exports/imports to prevent border delays.

Key duties include declarations, tariff classification, freight scheduling, and WMS updates, with a requirement for QQI Level 6 customs or equivalent practical experience.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 6 certificate in customs compliance or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with AEO standards and GDP practices.
• Knowledge of Irish and UK customs procedures.
• Proficiency in Azyra freight management software and Thyme IT customs software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and lodge import/export customs declarations for Ireland and UK.
• Identify correct tariff codes and customs valuations for diverse goods.
• Schedule, book, and track shipments with transport providers.
• Update inventory in the Warehouse Management System to reflect distribution data.
• Support audits to ensure GDP and AEO compliance.
