White Recruitment is seeking an experienced Customs Clerk in Dublin to join a growing global logistics team. You will prepare and submit import and export declarations and ensure shipments comply with current customs regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience as Customs Clerk or similar role
• Experience completing import and export declarations
• Knowledge of Irish and EU customs procedures
• Familiarity with customs systems and freight software
• Knowledge of commodity codes, duties and taxes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple declarations and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit import and export customs declarations
• Complete customs documentation accurately and within required deadlines
• Ensure all shipments comply with current customs procedures and regulations
• Classify goods using the correct commodity codes
• Check commercial invoices, packing lists and transport documentation
• Liaise with customers, customs authorities, hauliers and internal departments
• Resolve customs queries and documentation issues
• Monitor customs clearance progress and provide updates
• Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit purposes
• Advise customers on customs requirements where necessary
• Support road, air and ocean freight shipments with customs clearance
• Ensure duties, taxes and charges are calculated correctly
• Keep up to date with changes to customs legislation and procedures
• Support the wider operations team when required
