Job summary

Novartis in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Director, Portfolio Scientific Communications to set the global direction for how oncology data reaches the scientific community. You will lead a team of scientific communication colleagues across the disease portfolio and partner with Research, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs to support clinical adoption and improve patient care.

Qualifications

Doctoral level life sciences or healthcare degree required.
10+ years in pharmaceutical or healthcare companies, global exposure preferred.
Experience in Oncology Medical Affairs and scientific publications.
Excellent knowledge of publications and scientific communications activities.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of scientific communications associates across the oncology portfolio.
Drive the scientific communication strategy across Oncology to ensure alignment across disease areas and assets.
Build the scientific communication platform with partnered therapeutic area teams for consistent medical content narratives.
Define publication strategy, data flow and plan linked to evidence generation to share data timely.
Co-create asset and pipeline scientific communication strategies with Research, Development and evidence generation teams.
Build trusted relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
