This role leads the Engineering Quality & Excellence function, scaling standards and measuring maturity across the global organisation.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in senior engineering, engineering quality or engineering excellence leadership roles within a multi-product software organisation.
• Deep understanding of modern engineering practice across source control, CI/CD, testing, observability, security and performance.
• Strong command of engineering and quality metrics and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and evolve the global engineering standards across products and teams — covering source control, code review, CI/CD, testing, static analysis, security and observability.
• Own the global engineering maturity model and the scorecard, providing senior leadership with credible views of quality, risk and trend.
• Use data to identify systemic quality risks and drive improvement programmes with Engineering Managers, holding teams accountable.
• Provide strategic leadership to the Quality Engineering function and guide investments in high-risk areas.
• Act as the central Engineering contact for compliance and audits, translating requirements into concrete expectations.
• Partner with managers on capability building while upholding standards through credible data and influence.
• Own reporting to senior leadership with metrics, updates and status on engineering quality and maturity.
