Job summary

You will define global standards for source control, CI/CD, testing and observability, own the maturity model and scorecard, and drive improvement with Engineering Managers.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering quality or excellence leadership within a multi-product software organisation.
• Deep understanding of source control, CI/CD, testing, static analysis, security, observability.
• Ability to drive change across organisational boundaries through evidence and governance.
• Experience with maturity models or engineering standards at scale.
• Familiarity with regulatory/audit frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS or ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve global engineering standards across products and teams, including SCM, code review, CI/CD, testing, and security.
• Own the global engineering maturity model and scorecard, providing credible quality insights to leadership.
• Use data to identify risks and drive improvement with Engineering Managers, closing gaps.
• Lead the Quality Engineering function through the QE Manager to target high-risk areas.
• Coordinate engineering-related compliance and audits and translate requirements into concrete expectations.
• Collaborate with managers to build capabilities while maintaining standards.
• Report to senior leadership on engineering quality and maturity progress.
