Job summary

AMCS Group is hiring an Engineering Quality & Excellence Manager to scale engineering standards globally and drive measurable quality improvements across all products. The role reports into senior engineering leadership and coordinates with Engineering Managers to convert strategy into standards and governance.

You will use data to surface quality risks, lead improvement programmes, and ensure compliance and audit readiness across time zones and teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in senior engineering, engineering quality or engineering excellence leadership within a multi-product SaaS/ software organisation.
• Deep understanding of modern engineering practice across source control, code review, CI/CD, testing and security.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and evolve global engineering standards across products and teams, including source control, code review, CI/CD, testing, static analysis, security and observability.
• Manage the global engineering maturity model and scorecard, providing credible quality risk insights to senior leadership.
• Drive improvement programmes with Engineering Managers to close gaps in teams and ensure governance.
• Lead the Quality Engineering function through the Quality Engineering Manager, focusing on high-risk areas and strategic investment.
• Coordinate engineering compliance and audit requirements, translating frameworks into concrete expectations and responses.
• Partner with managers on capability building while maintaining standards through data and governance rather than direct authority.
• Oversee reporting to senior leadership with clear metrics on quality and maturity.
