Job summary

Hodson Bay Group seeks an experienced General Manager to lead Rove Cabins at Yew Point during pre-opening and initial operations. You will recruit and mentor a high-performing team, oversee accommodation, F&B, wellness and property operations, and drive commercial performance while maintaining premium standards.

You will work closely with group management and marketing to shape guest experiences, establish partnerships and build a distinctive hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Proven senior management experience within hotels, resorts, boutique accommodation or comparable hospitality products.
• Strong financial and commercial management skills, including budgeting, revenue management and operational planning.
• Demonstrated experience building, leading and developing successful teams.
• A strong understanding of guest experience and premium hospitality standards.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The initiative and adaptability required to establish and develop a new hospitality operation.
• Previous pre-opening experience or experience within independent, lifestyle or destination hospitality would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading pre-opening planning and preparations while overseeing the successful launch of Rove.
• Recruiting, developing and leading a high-performing hospitality team.
• Managing all aspects of accommodation, food and beverage, wellness and wider property operations.
• Driving commercial performance, managing budgets and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Delivering consistently high standards of guest service and property presentation.
• Working closely with group management and marketing to develop guest experiences and partnerships.
