Auxilia Group Recruitment is recruiting a General Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established company operating within the forestry and land management sector in Ireland. The role reports to the Managing Director and holds full responsibility for performance, strategic direction and growth.

The successful candidate will drive financial performance, lead teams, develop commercial opportunities and ensure governance, compliance and operational excellence across the business.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Business, Forestry or related discipline.
• Minimum of two years' GM/Director-level experience.
• Senior leadership with responsibility for performance and operations.
• Strong budgeting, P&L and financial planning skills.
• Experience delivering growth strategies and plans.
• Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in governance, compliance and best practices.
• Proactive, commercially focused with opportunity identification.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall management, performance and strategic direction of the business.
• Take responsibility for financial performance (P&L, budgets, cash flow).
• Develop and implement business plans to support sustainable growth.
• Lead, develop and motivate teams for high performance.
• Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and regulators.
• Oversee governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Drive business development and commercial performance.
