Auxilia Group Recruitment is recruiting a General Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established company operating within the forestry and land management sector in Ireland. The role reports to the Managing Director and holds full responsibility for performance, strategic direction and growth.

The successful candidate will drive financial performance, lead teams, develop commercial opportunities and ensure governance, compliance and operational excellence across the business.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Business, Forestry or related discipline.
• Minimum of two years' GM/Director-level experience.
• Senior leadership with responsibility for performance and operations.
• Strong budgeting, P&L and financial planning skills.
• Experience delivering growth strategies and plans.
• Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in governance, compliance and best practices.

Auxilia Group Recruitment is recruiting a General Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established and leading company operating within the forestry and land management sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior leader to take responsibility for the overall performance, strategic direction and continued growth of an established business.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will have full responsibility for business operations, financial performance, people management and the development of future commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall management, performance and strategic direction of the business.
• Take full responsibility for financial performance, including P&L, budgets, balance sheet and cashflow.
• Develop and implement business plans to support sustainable growth.
• Lead, manage and develop teams, promoting a positive and high-performing working environment.
• Identify new business opportunities, potential markets and opportunities for expansion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Oversee operational efficiency, governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Drive business development and commercial performance.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure business objectives are achieved.

The Ideal Candidate

• A relevant third-level qualification, ideally in Business, Forestry or a related discipline.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a General Manager or Director-level position.
• Proven senior leadership experience with responsibility for business performance and operational management.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, financial planning and P&L responsibility.
• Experience developing and delivering business strategies and growth plans.
• Excellent people management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in governance, compliance and operational best practices.
• A proactive, commercially focused approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive results.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary of €85,000–€95,000+ depending on experience.
