Job summary

Coillte in Ireland seeks a Forest Operations Lead in the BAU to organise and supervise forest operations, ensuring quality assurance, cost control, compliance with environmental and social standards, and safe work practices. Manage Contractors and Forest Operatives to meet production targets and develop performance across the BAU.

You will plan budgets, supervise staff and resources, and provide timely production data to support tactical decisions and consistent improvement in operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 Forestry degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years in forestry operations management.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Manage Contractors and Forest Operatives to deliver operational targets and value for money.
• Develop Contractors to enable best performance and progression.
• Support BAU operations with flexible coverage across the region.
• Promote a safe working environment for staff, contractors and customers.
• Plan and supervise budgets and production forecasts to meet financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with Forest Certification Standards and SOPs.
