Job summary

AuxiliaGroup Recruitment is hiring a Forester on behalf of a well-established client in forestry and land management. The role blends practical fieldwork with forest planning and environmental compliance across the West region.

You will work with the Regional Forester and team to support forest inventory, site visits, contractor interaction and health & safety on site. A full driving licence and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or related discipline (FETAC/QQI Level 6 or above).
• Experience in forestry, fieldwork or seasonal work is advantageous.
• Desirable knowledge in tree ID, forest management, inventory or planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Forester with forest management plan prep.
• Carry out site visits, forest inspections and inventories.
• Support planting, regeneration planning and species selection.
• Monitor forest health and environmental compliance.
• Report environmental concerns and support contractor management.
• Ensure health and safety policies on site.
