A leading advisory firm is seeking a Manager with strong Fund Accounting experience to join its growing financial services advisory team in Ireland.
This role would suit an experienced Fund Accountant who has developed strong technical expertise within alternative investments and is now looking to move into a broad, client-facing advisory environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong working knowledge of SS&C Advent Geneva, ideally combined with experience supporting Private Equity or other alternative investment funds.
Rather than managing a traditional BAU fund accounting portfolio, you will work with clients on a range of fund accounting, operational, systems and transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise asset managers, fund administrators and other financial services clients on fund accounting and operational challenges.
- Support and lead projects involving Geneva implementations, migrations, upgrades and process optimisation.
- Assess existing fund accounting processes, controls and operating models and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical fund accounting expertise across complex alternative investment structures.
- Support projects involving NAV processes, reconciliations, valuations, investor allocations, capital activity and financial reporting.
- Work with clients to translate business and accounting requirements into effective operational and system solutions.
- Lead workstreams and manage project delivery from initial analysis through implementation.
- Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Technology and Fund Administration.
- Manage and develop junior members of the advisory team.
- Contribute to proposals, client presentations and the continued growth of the firm's Funds and Asset Management advisory offering.
Applicants should have the following:
- Strong professional experience within Fund Accounting, Fund Administration or Asset Servicing.
- Experience within Private Equity fund administration is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to Private Credit, Real Assets, Hedge Funds or other alternative investment structures would also be valuable.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting processes and the operational lifecycle of investment funds.
- Experience of systems implementation, migration, transformation or process improvement would be highly advantageous.
- Previous experience supervising teams, managing projects or leading workstreams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to operate confidently in a client-facing environment.
