Job summary

Quest Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to lead a team delivering fund accounting services for a portfolio of alternative investment clients. The role focuses on team leadership, client relationships, and end-to-end NAV processes.

You will manage a team of Fund Accounting professionals, oversee NAV production, and be a key escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders. Prior supervisory experience and hedge fund exposure are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Fund Accounting or Alternative Fund Administration.
• Experience in supervisory/management role with team development.
• Strong knowledge of the NAV process and fund accounting lifecycle.
• Experience with alternative investment funds, hedge funds preferred.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to lead a team responsible for delivering fund accounting services to a portfolio of alternative investment clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fund Accounting Supervisor or Manager to take on greater responsibility for team leadership, client relationships and the end-to-end NAV process.

You will manage a team of Fund Accounting professionals, oversee the timely delivery of NAVs and reporting, and act as a key point of escalation for both clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Fund Accounting professionals.
• Oversee the day-to-day NAV production process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Manage relationships with a portfolio of clients and act as a senior point of contact.
• Review daily and monthly NAV calculations and associated accounting deliverables.
• Review fee calculations, profit and loss allocations and fund performance.
• Ensure outstanding cash and position reconciliation items are investigated and resolved promptly.
• Provide guidance and support on complex fund accounting queries and escalations.
• Continuously review and improve fund accounting processes, controls and workflows.
• Manage the audit process and support the preparation of fund financial statements.
• Support the onboarding, transition and launch of new clients and funds.
• Deliver training and support the development of junior and senior team members.

About You

• A minimum of 5 years' experience within Fund Accounting or Alternative Fund Administration.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management position, ideally with responsibility for developing and managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of the NAV process and fund accounting lifecycle.
• Experience working with alternative investment funds, ideally including Hedge Funds.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting controls, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• A professional accounting qualification, or the desire to pursue one, would be beneficial but is not essential
