Job summary

Darwin Hawkins is recruiting a Fund Accounting Assistant Manager to join a Dublin-based funds team. The role covers NAV production, onboarding new funds, migrations, reconciliations and process enhancements across a range of fund structures including Private Equity and UCITS.

The successful candidate will mentor junior staff, work with stakeholders and contribute to technical fund accounting projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' relevant Fund Accounting experience, ideally at a leading Fund Administrator or Asset Manager.
• Strong end-to-end NAV calculation and review experience.
• Experience across UCITS, ICAVs, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, REITs, or SPVs.
• Strong reconciliation and break-resolution experience.
• Exposure to Fund Accounting systems and fund onboarding or migrations.
• Experience with complex calculations such as performance fees, waterfalls or distributions is advantageous.
• Financial reporting experience would be beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring/developing junior staff.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Our client is a leading financial services organisation seeking to appoint a Fund Accounting Assistant Manager to its growing Dublin team.

This is a technical Fund Accounting position offering exposure beyond traditional BAU NAV delivery, with the successful candidate working across a range of fund accounting projects, operational improvements and technical assignments.

Role and Reporting Lines

• The Fund Accounting Assistant Manager will take responsibility for a broad range of technical Fund Accounting activities and projects.
• Responsibilities will include NAV production and review, supporting new fund onboarding and system migrations, reconciliation and break resolution, improving NAV and Fund Administration processes, strengthening controls and introducing improved management information and KPIs.
• The successful candidate will also act as a technical point of contact within their areas of expertise and support and mentor junior members of the team.
