Job summary

Lotus Care in the Kildare region is seeking a dedicated Social Care Assistant for a full-time, permanent role. You will work at a single location with guaranteed hours and support vulnerable children in their daily living and development.

The role offers full-time contracts, a 42-hour week, and ongoing mentoring. Applicants should have a Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies, a full Irish driving license, and a commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies.
• Full Irish driving license required.
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
• Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.
