Job summary

Lotus Care in Birr, Co. Offaly, Ireland, is currently recruiting an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join a team that provides respite, residential and support services.

The role offers a 42-hour week and a salary of €36,036 per annum, with opportunities to support service users in daily living activities and community involvement. You will work in a homely setting, upholding health and safety standards and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote rights, dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
• Previous experience supporting children or adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of care and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service owners.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, feeding, and daily living activities.
• Support emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of service owners.

• Support participation in community and recreational activities.
• Monitor safeguarding, welfare, or health concerns and report as required.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements
