Job summary

The Menlo Park Hotel in Galway, Ireland is seeking a full-time Bar person/Bistro team member to join our team. This role involves friendly bar service, taking orders, upselling, and maintaining high standards in a busy hotel environment.

You will greet guests, explain menus, and handle both bar and table service while maintaining excellent customer relations. Availability for five shifts over seven days, including weekends, is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a similar bar role is preferred.
• Fluent English with excellent people skills.
• Willingness to work five shifts over seven days including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient bar service, taking orders accurately and to standard.
• Greet guests, present menus, explain specials, and upsell where appropriate.
• Manage reservations for groups/ VIPs and set up the bar accordingly.
• Serve food and beverage orders and handle cellar duties.
• Maintain knowledge of wines and cocktails and promote the menu.
• Attend to customers at the bar or table service as required.
• Keep bar and cellar clean and ready for service, tidy tables and stations.
• Assist with cellar duties and stock delivery.
