Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer (Java & Angular) to design, develop and maintain modern web applications across front-end and back-end technologies.

You will work in an agile environment, using cloud platforms and best-practice engineering to deliver mission-critical services used by thousands of users. The role offers flexible/remote working and a strong focus on professional growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong experience developing applications using Java and the Spring Boot/Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Strong experience developing modern web applications using Angular.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with automated testing, unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with application servers and containers such as Tomcat.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience delivering solutions within the UK public sector or GDS-aligned environments.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
