Job summary

Genesys in Ireland is seeking a Frontend Engineer to design and build high quality UI features using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. You’ll contribute across product roadmaps in a collaborative Agile team and participate in code reviews.

You will work with REST web services, CI/CD processes, and security/usability considerations while embracing AI-enabled tooling to boost productivity and code quality. A growth mindset and frontend passion are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of web development experience delivering UX driven designs.
• Excellent programming skills in Angular, and some of the following; JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience in consuming and building REST Web services.
• Experience in the usage of version control tools like ‘git’
• Experience of CI/CD processes and technologies.
• Proactive, self-driven, and possessing a growth mindset.
• A passion for frontend development.
• Demonstrated awareness of modern AI technologies and their implications (safety, privacy, reliability)

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join the Conversational AI team and help build products and services that bring the benefits of Generative AI to Genesys customers.

As a Frontend Engineer in the Conversational AI team, you will be designing and developing high quality software to deliver key features of the Product roadmaps. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving machine learning and software engineering to deliver AI powered conversational solutions.

You will be joining a collaborative team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges. Working in an Agile team environment, Genesys teams are full-stack, with capabilities to deliver full features across Front-End, Back-End, Eventing and Storage layers. Genesys Software Engineers think through implementation details of scale, security, and usability. In this frontend role, you will code in Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS and work with many technologies, including Jenkins, GIT etc, all on AWS

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines
• 3+ years of web development experience delivering UX driven designs

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in accessibility compliance
• Experience of Python or Java
• Experience of AWS technologies
• Experience in using defect tracking and test management systems such as ‘Jira’
• Understanding of microservices architecture principles and best practices
• Experience with Bot Platforms or Natural Language Understanding concepts and technologies
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and modern engineering workflows
