Job summary

The Ardilaun Hotel in Galway is seeking a friendly Front of House Porter to join our team. You will help with event setups for banquets, conferences and weddings, greet guests, and maintain a welcoming front of house area.

Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service, fluent English, and the ability to work independently with initiative. Weekend and night shifts are required as part of a flexible schedule; you will be supported by a team in a family-owned hotel with leisure club access.

Qualifications

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience in the hotel industry in a guest relations/ guest services role.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Work independently and use their own initiative.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Responsible for setting up for events such as banquets, conferences, and weddings.
Greet and assist guests as needed
Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures and carry out fire and security checks
Provide room and lobby service as needed
Maintain a clean and organized front of house area, including the lobby, and dining areas
Perform other duties as assigned by the management
