Job summary

The Hardiman Hotel is seeking an experienced receptionist to join our Front of House team in Co. Galway. You will greet guests, manage check-in/out using Opera PMS, and promote hotel facilities while delivering exemplary service.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in hospitality, excellent interpersonal skills, and fluent English. An on-site role with opportunities to share local knowledge and assist in other hotel areas is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s hospitality experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly on arrival and at check-in/check-out using Opera PMS.
• Communicate hotel services and facilities to guests.
• Handle guest requests, queries, and complaints professionally and escalate to management when needed.
• Ensure billing accuracy in accordance with SOPs and update hotel system with changes.
• Upsell hotel facilities and services throughout guest interactions.
• Answer calls on the switchboard with a friendly, professional approach.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel procedures, safety policies and local area recommendations.
