Job summary

White Recruitment Construction is seeking an experienced Road Freight Forwarder to join our Leinster-based team, with a focus on imports. You will own a portfolio of road freight shipments from booking through to final delivery, coordinating with hauliers and overseas partners to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of European road imports and documentation, excellent communication with customers and carriers, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to keep

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 DOE

I am currently recruiting on behalf of an established international freight forwarding business for an experienced Road Freight Forwarder to join their team in Leinster.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid European road freight experience who enjoys managing shipments from initial booking right through to final delivery, with the role predominantly focused on imports.

The Role

You will take ownership of a portfolio of road freight shipments, coordinating the complete forwarding process while maintaining strong communication with customers, hauliers and overseas partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing road freight imports from start to finish
• Arranging collections and deliveries across Ireland and Europe
• Booking transport with hauliers and coordinating schedules
• Preparing and checking shipping and customs documentation
• Tracking shipments and proactively resolving delays or issues
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and international partners
• Handling quotations, bookings and shipment updates
• Monitoring costs, charges and invoicing
• Ensuring shipments are delivered accurately and on time
• Providing a high level of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle

• Previous experience within road freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of European road imports
