• Proven experience in business development within freight forwarding or the logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of multimodal freight, ideally covering air, sea and road services.
• Demonstrated track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent networking, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially minded with a solid grasp of pricing, profitability and gross profit.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to develop new markets independently.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing the company's Irish customer base, identifying new commercial opportunities and delivering tailored multimodal freight solutions to businesses across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across air, sea and road freight.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, from SMEs to large multinational organisations.
• Develop tailored logistics solutions to meet customers' international supply chain requirements.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial meetings through to negotiation and closing.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations and tenders.
• Develop a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
• Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth customer onboarding process and excellent ongoing service.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
