Job summary

Searchability® in Dublin is seeking a Founding Software Engineer to join as the first dedicated software hire and report directly to the CTO. You will own the platform across frontend and backend using React, Python and AWS, with a focus on security for sensitive data.

There is no legacy system; architecture decisions are open, and you will shape the product early. Expect a small, senior team and meaningful equity as you build from ground up in a life sciences AI context.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python experience.
• React in production experience.
• AWS in production environment.
• Startup or early stage experience preferred.
• Evidence of end-to-end ownership of a project.

Responsibilities

• Build the platform front end through to back end alongside the CTO.
• Develop the React front end for a technical, scientific user base.
• Design and build back end services and data pipelines in Python on AWS.
• Make architecture decisions to shape an early product.
• Embed security and sensitive data handling from the start.
• Collaborate with researchers to turn their work into product.
