Job summary

Lynx Transport & Logistics in Ireland is hiring a Forklift Driver for an evening/night shift (Mon-Fri, 5pm–2am). You will safely load and unload freight using a forklift and PPT, move goods, and support nightly transport operations in a busy warehouse.

The ideal candidate holds a valid forklift licence, can work with basic computer systems, has fluent English, and prior warehouse or logistics experience. Training can be provided, and you must be eligible to work in Ireland.

• Essential: Fluent English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload freight from trucks using a forklift and PPT (Powered Pallet Truck).
• Handle, move and store goods in line with company procedures and safety standards.
• Monitor freight movements to ensure accuracy of shipments and documentation.
• Carry out general warehouse tasks, including sorting, scanning and preparing goods.
• Use computer systems to support transport administration, such as updating records and tracking freight.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to coordinate nightly operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment throughout your shift.

Forklift Driver (Evening/Night Shift)

The Work

This is a full-time evening/night shift role, working Monday to Friday from 5pm to 2am. You will play a key part in ensuring freight is handled safely, accurately and efficiently, while providing basic administrative support to our transport team. Training in forklift driving can be provided for this role.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an experienced forklift operator who enjoys working in a busy warehouse environment and is comfortable using computers to support daily tasks.

• Essential: Valid forklift licence with proven forklift operating experience.
• Essential: Fluent English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an advantage.
• Confident using basic computer systems for data entry and administrative tasks.
• Self-motivated, flexible and reliable, with the ability to work Night Shifts.
• Strong organisational skills and proven attention to detail.
• Team-oriented, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the warehouse and transport functions.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
