Job summary

O & S Doors, based in Dublin, is seeking a full-time Warehouse operative to coordinate daily warehouse activities. You will work with the wider team to ensure orders are fulfilled, packed and dispatched on time, with stock controlled and traceable across the inventory system.

The role requires at least one year of forklift and warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year forklift experience.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Computer literate and able to use basic systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet walk-in clients and coordinate with warehouse team.
• Communicate with clients by telephone, email and in person.
• Fulfil, pack and despatch orders within set timeframes.
• Inventory control, cycle counts and stock reconciliations at the trade counter.
• Maintain a Lean, clean and safe warehouse and report issues to management.

Job description

You will work with the wider warehouse team planning, co-ordinating and controlling daily activities; ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.

You will also integrate and work closely with other functions of the business such as the team at HQ, sales, despatch to ensure on time receipt of our inventory and the distribution of these products to customers.

Specific day to day responsibilities:

• Meet and greet all the walk-in clients
• Communicate effectively with clients using the most appropriate medium, including telephone, email, and face-to-face communication.
• Ensure complaints and issues raised by clients are quickly resolved using the correct guidelines
• Fulfil, pack and despatch orders within set timeframes
• Part of the warehouse team managing warehouse operations including all inbound goods, deliveries schedules and sampling
• Keep up to date data, systems, records and receipts as necessary and to ensure the traceability for inventory control.
• Inventory control, conducting cycle counts and stock reconciliations at the trade counter
• Maintaining a lean, clean, efficient warehouse; ensuring equipment, layout and working environment are serviced and maintained in a safe condition.
• Communicate effectively with the Senior Management Team, proactively suggesting improvements and ideas that could benefit the company.
• Follow processes for early problem identification and intervention.
• Deal with day-to-day issues and provide support to the wider team.
• Follow all company policies, legislation including H&S and Codes of Practice.
• Maintain a professional dress code and presentable appearance, demonstrate a positive and approachable personality, and conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner at all times.
• Ensure all business and individual key performances are met.
• To act in the best interest of the Company at all times.
• Any other duties as reasonably required by Management

Requirements:

At least one year experience driving a forklift

At least one year warehouse experience

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Computer literate
