Job summary

Avoca Suffolk Street is looking for experienced food handlers to join our café on a part-time basis (8 hours per week). You’ll deliver high standards of customer service, operate the espresso bar, handle payments at the till, and help keep the store tidy and in line with Avoca brand standards.

The ideal candidate has café experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a motivated, self-driven attitude. We offer pension, development, wellness programmes, and other benefits.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service – A high standard of customer service is required for the role, including assisting customers in person and via phone
• Barista – making coffees, serving fresh food to customers.
• Till use – scanning items and taking payments, managing queues in a timely manner.
• Replenishing stock, ensuring the retail department is always in line with Avoca brand standards.
• Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager
• Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and in keeping with Avoca brand standard
• Ad-hoc duties outlined by your manager
