Job summary

Avoca is seeking a part-time Food Handler for our cafe at Suffolk Street, Dublin. The role involves barista duties, customer service, and working 8 hours per week in a fast-paced retail cafe environment.

Ideal candidates will have cafe experience, barista skills, and strong communication. You will contribute to a great customer experience while supporting daily cafe operations in a busy store.

Qualifications

• Previous cafe experience preferred, with barista skills a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Reliable and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service in person and over the phone.
• Prepare coffee and serve freshly prepared food.
• Use the till to scan items and process payments.
• Restock shelves and maintain brand standards.
• Open and close the store per manager's guidance.
• Keep the cafe clean and tidy at all times.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as assigned.

We are recruiting for experienced food handlers to work part-time in our cafe (8hours per week) in our location at Avoca Suffolk Street.

Duties include:

• Customer Service - A high standard of customer service is required for the role, including assisting customers in person and via phone
• Barista - making coffees, serving fresh food to customers.
• Till use - scanning items and taking payments, managing queues in a timely manner.
• Replenishing stock, ensuring the retail department is always in line with Avoca brand standards.
• Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager
• Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and in keeping with Avoca brand standard
• Ad-hoc duties outlined by your manager

Ideal Candidate:
