Job summary

Cliste Hospitality in Cork is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a permanent, part-time basis. The role is 16 hours per week with flexible patterns such as 4x4 hours or 2x8 hours, aligned to business needs.

You will support day-to-day accounting, handle AP/AR, bank reconciliations, month-end processes and budgeting. A relevant accounting qualification is advantageous, though experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or finance role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
• A professional and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Completing bank reconciliations and monitoring bank accounts.
• Assisting with financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Supporting VAT and tax-related requirements.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Providing general accounting and administrative support as required.
