Qualifications

  • Leaving Certificate (Level 5 NFQ) or recognised equivalent.
  • Full Category B driving licence valid in Ireland.
  • No convictions under Irish Fisheries Legislation.
  • Eligible to work in the State.
  • Fluent English – both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Reside within 60 mins drive of base location.
  • Competent in and on the water (sea, lakes, rivers).
  • Demonstrates passion for promoting, protecting and conserving resources.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol lakes, rivers, sea, coast to check for illegal fishing.
  • Enforce bye-laws and regulations as required.
  • Contribute to habitat improvement schemes and access infrastructure.
  • Assist anglers and the public; provide information and guidance.
  • Maintain vehicles, boats and equipment used for patrols and enforcement.
